WE ARE
SOLVING
GLOBAL PROBLEMS
In oil palm in Malaysia, fungal diseases cause RM1.5Bn in crop losses every year, from reduced yields and dead trees. This requires clearing new land and re-planting young trees, then waiting years before production starts. Much of this can be avoided by protecting and caring for the soil, improving water retention, reducing fertiliser run-off and protecting the plants from common diseases.
Healthy soil and well balanced micronutrients are the key to increasing and maintaining crop yield - applying Vitalisâ„¢ is a quick way improve the soil microbial profile of soils.
The microbial activity leads to increased nutrient absorption through bacteria such as phosphorous solubilizing bacteria and can protect plants from fungal infection
HOW WE
CREATE IT
Vitalis is a 100% natural, organic foliar spray, made from Black Soldier Fly (BSF) frass
Vitalis is manufactured in a three-stage process:
1
BSF larvae bioconvert organic material into raw frass, rich in microbes and micronutrients.
2
The frass is then processed for 45 days through a traditional windrow composting system, stabilising the nitrogen in the material, and boosting the microbial community with our proprietary inoculant and added insect chitin.
3
The final stage of production follows a typical liquid foliar process; soaking the composted frass in temperature controlled tanks, and aerating it to optimise the microbial population and ensure that the nutrients are fully solubilised, before packaging in 1 litre bottles for distribution.
PRODUCT BENEFITS
Rich in plant-available minerals, including iron and calcium, and has a live cell count of Bacillus sp. : 1.2 x 10^7 CFU/ml
These specially designed bottles have a gas release valve to ensure that they don’t inflate or leak, keeping your shelves clean and safe.
This pH neutral spray includes no added ingredients (such as molasses), and has an organic content of almost 5%.
Vitalis should be diluted to around 3% (1 bottle of Vitalis into 32 litres of water) and applied at a rate of around 3 bottles per Hectare.
